Filling Your Prescription
When your doctor prescribed JIDEYTRO, they may have mentioned that it’s a specialty medication. That means the process for getting JIDEYTRO is different than filling a prescription at your local pharmacy or drug store.
Start the process for getting JIDEYTRO
Here’s how it works:
Your prescription is submitted
Your doctor sends your prescription to a specialty pharmacy, either:
- Their own in-office specialty pharmacy
- Biologics by McKesson
Your insurance is verified
The specialty pharmacy works with your insurance company to find out your prescription coverage
Prior authorization may be required
Your insurance company may need to approve coverage for your JIDEYTRO prescription
- Your insurance company may require additional information from your provider before approving coverage for your medication. This pre-approval process is called a prior authorization
- If prior authorization is required, your doctor can send a letter to your insurance company explaining why you need JIDEYTRO
- If the prior authorization is denied, your doctor has the ability to send a letter to appeal the denial
If your insurance company does not approve JIDEYTRO, talk to your doctor. Nuvalent Patient Support may be able to help
Your prescription is filled
If your insurance company approves JIDEYTRO, you’ll receive your prescription in one of two ways:
- From the specialty pharmacy in your doctor’s office or hospital
- From Biologics by McKesson
When your doctor has prescribed JIDEYTRO and if you have enrolled in Nuvalent Patient Support, we can check the status of your insurance coverage and help you determine:
